About Our Founder
Gucci Westman has more than 20 years of professional experience as a major editorial makeup artist, contributing to publications like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Gucci is known for creating dewy, supernaturally glowy looks and her highly coveted “second-skin approach” to makeup, resulting in naturally beautiful, radiantly amplified skin.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Head of Content, this hybrid, creative digital storytelling position is responsible for content creation and cross-collaboration between founder Gucci Westman and Westman Atelier brand channels.
Responsibilities:
- End to end ownership of Gucci Westman’s social media presence - collaborating with internal and external partners, post creation, content roll out
- Focus on elevation of Gucci’s brand and a halo back to Westman Atelier and the brand channel
- Creating original content from photo direction to copywriting to video editing for @gucciwestman IG.
- Brainstorm and potentially writing and building 1-2 stories per week for Gucci’s Guide that tie to overall brand and content calendar and further our positioning as a luxury lifestyle brand and our founder’s credibility - as time allows
- Assisting with production needs for all editorial photo/video shoots including developing creative briefs and booking talent.
- Monthly and weekly recaps on performance of Gucci Westman channels providing actionable insights and using takeaways to shape the voice and growth strategies for future content
- Pitching and brainstorming ideas for Westman Atelier’s channels including special projects (women over 50 focus, brand birthday, mother’s day, etc)
- Community management for Gucci Westman handle in partnership with coordinator role
- Liaison with Gucci’s management team to filter business obligations and partnerships
- Partner with the Sales & Education teams to filter, brief and refine all Gucci content requests from retailers
- New channel strategy growth to further Gucci Westman’s presence
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a content or social media role
- Proficiencies in end to end content creation
- Ability to travel with limited notice
- Shopify experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative and strategic
- Agile, highly organized individual with a high taste level and strong brand understanding
- Interest in the beauty industry a plus, luxury experience a plus
