About Our Founder
Gucci Westman has more than 20 years of professional experience as a major editorial makeup artist, contributing to publications like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Gucci is known for creating dewy, supernaturally glowy looks and her highly coveted “second-skin approach” to makeup, resulting in naturally beautiful, radiantly amplified skin.
Position Summary
The Director, Organic Social will lead the development and execution of strategy across our owned social channels. This socially native chameleon should be able to concept, brief, shoot, edit and execute. This role will be a key player in driving brand visibility, engagement, and community growth, utilizing a strategic approach to social media and a deep understanding of platform dynamics. This role is responsible for crafting compelling content strategy and pillars, optimizing posting cadence, and leveraging social trends to enhance brand presence, grow followers, and achieve relevant KPIs. A strong and elevated taste level should elevate our Instagram content and branding while setting trends on TikTok, not following them.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the visual direction across platforms ensuring consistency, creativity, and brand alignment, but with a tailored strategy by platform.
- Concept and design in partnership with Art Director engaging content including, but not limited to static posts, carousels and videos across channels to elevate our social content - branding, typography, creators - and treat the monthly feed like a GTM roll out
- Identify and optimize ideal cadence to maximize organic performance across multiple platforms.
- Creation of monthly content calendar that ties to evergreen, NPD focus, key brand moments, as well as overall brand goals/core focuses
- Oversee Community strategy in partnership with Senior Manager to foster deep brand loyalty
- Accountable for platform growth and goal setting across key metrics - followers, engagement rate, reach and impressions
- Partner with senior manager on weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting against goals and key competitors
- Relationship management with platform reps (Meta, TikTok, etc) and deep understanding of platform dynamics
- Ideate, brief, and execute on new content pillars and franchises in partnership with Content team and Senior Art Director
- Scale and manage the end to end strategy for the Content Creator program, driving brand affinity and a steady pipeline of authentic assets.
- Establish annual engagement goals and present strategy to achieve if not exceed to CMO and Head of Content
- Identify emerging organic channels and define launch strategy and needs
- Shoot, edit and design social first, in-house content and do ad hoc editing as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- 8 - 10 years of experience in various social media platforms including Meta and Tiktok; luxury beauty and/or start up experience, a plus
- Proven track record for creating beautiful and engaging social content that defines trends
- Strong background in social analytics and highly skilled in content creation and Iphone editing
- High taste level and strong brand understanding
- Very platform-literate - immersed in functions and new features across platforms
- Out of the box, creative thinker with drive to self start
- Agile, highly organized individual
