Position Summary
The Global Inventory Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing Westman Atelier’s inventory performance. This position will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting on inventory levels, trends, and projections, and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency. This role reports to the VP of Global Supply Chain.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing processes and systems related to both finished goods and materials inventory management and reconciliation.
- Analyze finished goods and material inventory performance metrics, including product turnover and days of supply across all inventory locations.
- Partner with the Global Business Planning team to forecast demand and develop inventory plans that meet business needs.
- Monitor inventory levels, execute inter-warehouse transfers, and proactively address potential stock imbalances.
- Investigate and recommend solutions to inventory-related issues, including cycle counts and year-end physical inventory reconciliation.
- Develop and distribute regular finished goods and materials inventory reports to management on a regular basis.
- Identify excess and obsolete inventory for appropriate action (use up or disposition).
- Export and analyze data for the material procurement model, providing insights to the Supply Chain team.
- Leverage data manipulation skills to extract, clean, and transform inventory data for analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory analysis, operations or related field.
- Affinity for number, attention to detail and investigative curiosity
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and able to work within our existing inventory management software and manual spreadsheets.
- Excellent technical data manipulation and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and present analyses + recommendations clearly and persuasively
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced environment
