Position Summary

The Manager, Product Development will support the innovation and development of luxe, sustainable, and ethically sourced cosmetics. This role will work with a team of talented professionals to bring new products to life, while ensuring products are aligned with brand and founder ethos.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the product development lifecycle, including timelines, milestones, and budget allocation, to ensure on-time delivery of new product launches.
  • Collaborate on the execution of a product development roadmap aligned with the brand’s clean beauty values and market trends.
  • Assist in Identifying opportunities for innovation and growth within the clean beauty space.
  • Brief labs on new projects in all makeup and skincare categories
  • Support team members in fostering creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform Competitive Product analysis to support new developments.
  • Work closely with the formulation process from concept to launch, ensuring products meet clean beauty standards, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations.
  • Manage the timelines for formula, shade matching and testings to guarantee a successful and on -time launch
  • Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate all necessary samples throughout the development process, ensuring seamless support to all teams in the early stages of  new product launches.
  • Track and approve pre-production samples for open orders of products.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with marketing, packaging, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to commercialization.
  • Troubleshoot any problems that arise within the development cycle.
  • Overlook all beauty assets to ensure the shades develop as expected.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetics Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in product development within the beauty or cosmetics industry, with a focus on clean beauty products.
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Proactive individual with a strong initiative mindset to drive innovation, collaboration  and make impact on the development process.
  • Deep understanding of clean beauty principles, ingredient sourcing, formulation techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Solid project management abilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Passion for sustainability, ethical sourcing, and advancing the principles of clean beauty.
